I'm not looking under a dog.
I can roll over for you..
I've been rolled.
Like a carpet?
Like a drunk.
Maybe it's time to quit.
why would anyone ever quit? if you stay until they get sick of your
lackluster performance and fire you, they have to pay you more! also, it
shows dedication and perseverance, which are prized at AA.

I can't quit, it's a way of life.
Stage 1: Denial.
Unh-unh; you're not going to get *me* on any sneaky twelve-step.
but can you do a two-step? or perhaps a tango?

I can do a vague shuffling two-step.

And, apparently, with the right music, I can skank.
And also dance kind of normally, which is odd.

Aye, skanking is a very complex art.

no no, the ~ isn't part of my name; it is merely an introductory
punctuation. like a dash, but with more flair.
i only know that one crash test dummies song (hmm hmm hmm hmm), and after
all these years i still can't tell if i like it or not.

I can tell by the way that you baby talk,
I can see by the way that you switch and walk,
I can tell by the way that you treat your man,
But I could love you baby, it's a cryin' shame.

Maybe it's time to quit.
I can't quit, it's a way of life.
Stage 1: Denial.
Unh-unh; you're not going to get me on any sneaky
twelve-step.
Stage 2: Resistance.
I told you: NO twelve step!
Stage 3: Anger.
Rob~ (this is the strangest 12 steps I've ever seen)
I'd rather do a quickstep than a twelve step;
or maybe a foxtrot or even <sharp intake of breath>
a turkey trot.
Stage 4: Jocularity
I can see that you're not taking this seriously.
Stage 5: Soberness
Rob~ (never thought I'd have to say that to you...)
I'm not listening.
Stage 6: Avoidance
<fingers in ears> # La la la
Stage 7: Sing-along
Right, that's it; I'm walking out of here.
Stage 8: Walking out of here.
Rob~ (I'm drunk...)
Right, then; I'm going to the Pub.
Stage 9: drinking.
I think I'll buy an Acme Exploding Poster Kit on the way.
Stage 10: BLOWING SH*T UP!
blowing posters up? or possibly, poster kits?

this is pretty clearly a stage-based program. your fear of steps is
unfounded.
